My art is my best communication with myself and hopefully with others as well. I am involved in a continuing dialogue with myself which I believe is reflected in my work. Somewhere as I work in the process of painting and drawing my deepest questions about life get answered in the most honest of ways. These questions concern transcience and permanence/life and death/my place in this world/where I have been - where I am and where I am going. The artifacts that I use are all about my history and my private mythology. They are in fact a visual diary - an extension of me in a particular time and place. Universal in nature - they refer to the larger issues of life that somehow connect all of humanity. They are my response to the world in which I live.
